‘The Defenders of Ukraine – the Heroes of our Time’

In October 2023, the Faculty of History and Philology hosted an international poster competition ‘The defenders of Ukraine – the Heroes of our time’.

☝️Contest was dedicated to the Day of the Cossacks of Ukraine, which is celebrated on 1 October, and the 30th anniversary of the founding of Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities.

The aim of the competition was to express words of support, gratitude and recognition to our heroes who are fighting for our right to live on our native Ukrainian land!

✔️Voting for the most creative, informative poster of the students was held through a Google form.

On 9 October, the winners of the international poster competition were awarded. Symbolically, the award ceremony took place at the Museum of Peace of the IUEH.

Students of the Faculties of History and Philology, Law, Pedagogy, Cybernetics, Health, Physical Education and Sports, as well as foreign students from Turkey took an active part in the competition.

As a result, 27 posters were submitted, 392 votes were collected, and 4 winners were selected.
1st place went to Oleksandra Kovtunovych, a 1st year law student.
2nd place was taken by Andrii Motsyk, a 1st year Master’s student of the Faculty of Cybernetics.
3rd place was shared by Victoriia Trachuk, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of History and Philology, and Alina Oshtuk, a 1st year student of the Faculty of History and Philology.

In addition, the jury selected 2 winners in the Most Creative Poster nomination, whose works were distinguished by their creative approach. The awards went to Victoriia Antykalo, a 1st year student of the Faculty of History and Philology, and Mariia Borodienko, a 4th year student of the Faculty of History and Philology.

With their posters, the students expressed words of support and gratitude to all the defenders of Ukraine who have fought and continue to defend our country.
