Physical Rehabilitation Trainings

The Polish-Ukrainian Adaptation Centre was established at the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities as part of the RITA – Changes in the Region grant competition (details here: https://international.megu.edu.ua/en/project-rita/)

The centre’s activities are aimed at providing occupational therapy using adaptive games to reduce the negative phenomena of today (nervous conditions, depression, anxiety, etc.).

Adaptive games are an effective tool for physical development, social adaptation, as well as integration and interpersonal relationships of different groups of people, regardless of age, gender or health status. The official opening of the centre took place on 04.10.2023.

The main directions of the centre:

  • Organisation of groups to address compensatory and preventive problems, improve educational, upbringing and health functions;
  • Development of personality, motor skills, physical and mental health;
  • Social adaptation;
  • Implementation of measures aimed at compensating for lost functions in persons in need of correction of physical and/or mental development, promoting comprehensive development, forming relationships with team members and the community, etc.

Classes at the centre are conducted free of charge during the centre’s opening hours by internationally certified instructors and volunteers from among the students of the Faculty of Health, Physical Culture and Sports of the Academician Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities.

Wednesday – 13:00-16:00
Saturday – 11:00-14:00
