April 8-9, The International Student Scientific and Practical Conference “Interdisciplinary and Transdisciplinary Approaches to European Integration: Post-Digital Innovations in Science, Education, Art, Technology and Culture” was held at the Academician Stepan DemIanchuk International University of Economics and Humanities.
Participants included candidates of three (BA, MA, PhD) educational and qualification levels, scientists from IUEH and Bath Spa University (Great Britain). The conference opened with welcoming remarks from university leaders, who outlined the research issues and focused on the importance of continuing and deepening the cooperation that has been ongoing since 2018.

“Today’s student conference is the result of the joint work of IUEH and Bath Spa University, which have been preparing for this event for a year. We appreciate that you stand in solidarity with us on the path to peace in Ukraine and the entire European space. Today’s conference is not just an academic event. It is a space for dialogue, a space for bold ideas and intercultural interaction, where science, culture, technology and art intersect. A special role in this process is played by young people – students, researchers, scientists. It is their enthusiasm, courage to think outside the box, willingness to take responsibility for the future that is a source of hope for all of us.”
Vitalii Demianchuk, Rector of IUEH

Collaboration between young scientists from both countries has facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experience, which is an important step in the development of the international scientific community and the implementation of the internationalization strategy.
In his closing remarks, Professor John Strachan of Bath Spa University emphasized that the rich and inspiring conference made the two days together intellectually rich and deeply collaborative.

“This event was a testament to the power of interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary thinking – precisely what is needed in a post-digital world marked by rapid change, complex challenges and an urgent need for human connections across borders, disciplines and languages. We heard bold ideas, critical reflections and new visions from both experienced scholars and research students. And we witnessed the extraordinary dynamics that emerge when Ukrainian and British
institutions come together – especially in the face of adversity and upheaval.”
John Strachan

A significant result of the student conference was the preparation of catalogs of conclusions and results of scientific research of all conference participants in Ukrainian and English, as well as the publication of a collection of scientific theses of students, which was published in the repository of the University of Bath Spa (Great Britain) under the citation: DOI 10.17870/bathspa.28608026.

It is encouraging that young people live for the future, look to the future and make plans to solve problems in their region, country and the European space as a whole. This was demonstrated by two days of work by the conference participants. Joint work unites us virtually and in reality, Ukrainian and British youth, precisely those with whom we realize our dreams together. The following conferences will only confirm the strength of Ukrainian-British scientific cooperation.

Students of the first (BA), second (MA), and third (PhD) educational and qualification levels at the Stepan Demianchuk International University of Economics and Humanities and Bath Spa University (Great Britain) presented the results of their scientific research at sectional meetings. Over the course of two days, students from the two universities had the opportunity to summarize their scientific research on various topics and hold lively panel discussions within 10 sections.

The 1st Section was joined by speakers from Bath Spa University (Amber Lemonby-Penny, Sarah Hayes, Sarah Tolbert, Michael Jopling and Petar Jandric, Edward Longford, Madison Webb and Lee Lee) with presentations on the topic “Education: Post-Digital Methodologies and Practices.”

Speakers from IUEH and BSU (Palchevska V., Krasovska O., Shevchenko U., Rumyantseva N., Kovalets M.) in Section 2 presented the results of their research on the historical and cultural transformations of the current perception of culture as a whole in the digital era.

The speakers of Section 3 (Vodianytskyi V., Panchuk O., Khater F.) focused on discussing the problems of modern IT and technologies in general in the context of innovation and security in the digital space.

The 4th Section (Artiushok V., Hreben E., Pelekh A.) became a platform for discussions on the socio-psychological, legal, economic, and environmental challenges of modern science and society.

The Section 5 (Motrynets Ya., Bernadskyi S., Khrystyna U., Maystrenko K., Mishchuk K.) of students focused on the problems of innovation and security in the digital space, as well as countering propaganda, disinformation, and security threats in the digital space.

Kinashchuk O. and Cherveniak D. in Section 6 highlighted the relationship between science and society in the context of modern challenges — from legal regulation and insurance to personnel management and sustainable development of regions during war.

Speakers of section 7 (Lankina V., Borodienko M., Churylovych A., Maksymchuk N.) highlighted their scientific results on current problems and prospects for the development of modern pedagogy.

Researchers of the Section 8 (Levchenko I., Bondar A., Kolodych T., Muliarchuk M.) presented the results of their scientific research within the framework of studying the problems of integrating peace issues, post-conflict settlement, and human rights into education.

Post-digital self-determination, human authority, and authorship were the themes of the work of Section 9 students (Francis N. Nwebonyi, Ian Willis, Rachel Hamilton, and Ari Mountbatten-O’Malley.

The last Section 10 (Melnyk R., Kotynska O., Huseva I.) paid attention to intercultural communications in the context of European integration.

It should be noted that each conference participant’s report is full of interesting ideas, a thorough analysis of the issues, and important results that will further influence the post-digitalization of higher education. Researchers clearly focused on the need for an innovative approach to teaching and learning in the face of global change, as well as on how new technologies can help solve complex social and educational problems, while ensuring equal access to knowledge and resources.

We would like to remind you that the full list of scientific theses of the students can be found in the collection of conference materials, which was published in the repository of Bath Spa University (Great Britain) under the reference: DOI 10.17870/bathspa.28608026.
